Meet the Teacher
Tonight I took the girls to meet their new teachers and see their classrooms. Naturally, Aliya blended in well and Zaynah looked scared to death. First was Aliya's class. Her teacher, Mrs. Brinson, seems very nice. I spoke with her for a few minutes and I think that she will be great with Aliya. Three of Aliya's kindergarten classmates are in her class, including her best friend Riley. Saying she was thrilled when we walked in the classroom is an understatement. She saw Riley and they embraced like they haven't seen eachother in years. It was really cute. Then after the reunion we headed down to Zaynah's end of the hall. She had a death grip on my hand and would not let go. We walked in and there were so many people. Very overwhelming!! Poor Zayn. We found her school supplies and her teacher, Miss Harp. She really settled Zaynah by talking about her dress and asking if it spun around. She let go of my hand and then a lump developed in my throat. She let go of my hand, like she didn't need me. After that she was miss personality. Miss Harp is going to be great with Zaynah. Anyone that makes her that comfortable within minutes gets a check in my book. Four more days and that's it, the summer will be over and school begins. I look forward to see how my girls change and grow, it will be exciting!!

Yesterday was "sneak a peak" for Gwyneth too. Mrs Robbins seemed very nice as well. G doesn't start til Thursday though. I need to try to enjoy these last few days of being at home with my baby girl. Okay, I'm gonna cry. I still need my COFFEE!!! XO
Oh wow... and I know my time will come before I know it! I already feel my time is here with Ash going to school, but i know it will be so different.
Keep your chin up! :)
I just got tearey eyed for you.
I being a teacher myself know the overwhelming feeling of having to make a child feel comfortable but its even harder to see the mommys faces when their babys let go of the leg, arm, hand, and what ever else they can find. But even though I know next year I will feel that feeling myself next year when my little one goes of to Kindg. Best of luck to the girls in school and ( Hears a tissue for mommy)
